Synology DiskStation DS425+
 is a 4-bay Network Attached Storage (NAS) device designed for small and medium-sized businesses and IT enthusiasts. It is powered by an Intel Celeron J4125 processor and features both 1 GbE and 2.5 GbE networking, along with two M.2 NVMe SSD slots for caching. 
Processor and memory

• CPU: The 
  DS425+
   uses an Intel Celeron J4125 64-bit quad-core processor with a base frequency of 2.0 GHz and a burst frequency of up to 2.7 GHz. It includes a hardware encryption engine (AES-NI) for secure data transmission.
• System memory: It comes with 2 GB of DDR4 non-ECC SODIMM RAM soldered on the board, and has one additional slot for expansion. The maximum memory capacity is 6 GB (2 GB onboard + a 4 GB module). Synology recommends using only its own branded memory for stability and full warranty support. 

Storage

• Drive bays: The NAS has 4 bays that are hot-swappable and support 3.5" SATA HDDs and 2.5" SATA SSDs.
• M.2 NVMe slots: It includes 2 M.2 NVMe SSD slots (M.2 2280) for creating a high-speed SSD cache to accelerate performance. The M.2 slots are not hot-swappable.
• Supported drive types:

  • M.2 2280 NVMe SSD
• Supported RAID types: Basic, JBOD, RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6, RAID 10, and Synology Hybrid RAID (SHR).
